I wanted to tiedye something but didn't want to go with the standard Gildan heavy weight, so I took a chance with Joe and am not disappointed.I'm generally a size smedium; it fits a bit big on me while still looking good. didn't have any noticeable shrinking when I washed it on warm. It's not the softest thing ever and isn't super flowy, which is perfect for me since I was primarily looking for something thicker + not form fitting. definitely comfortable and would buy again.tl;dr: Not cut to size (larger). Just fine for my preferences. Will order again.Female here. I happen to adore these, but they stand a good chance of being on the large side for smaller/narrower folks ... probably even bigger folks--after washing. I want to wear loose clothing, so lucky me. They are the heavy-weight t-shirt fabric I like that gets comfortably softer after many washings and is a good shirt for heavier-duty work. If you're looking for paper thin, tight-stretch or even medium-weight for under casual/formal clothes, these probably won't do. For under flannel shirts in Minnesota cold, this is the weight (though for that, I'd prefer a silk undershirt!).Sizing: I'm 5'6", medium bust, narrower rib cage than most, 32" waist by Levi jeans-sizing. My body's point of shoulder to point of shoulder, 13". Base of neck at shoulder bone, 13". I usually buy mens' L--sometimes XL--t-shirts depending on general true-to-size descriptions. So when people in these reviews say, "Buy one size larger, because they will shrink," BELIEVE THEM! Since the reviewers sounded adamant, I ordered XXL. After washing, it well and truly shrank, and somewhat past the cut-loose L or XL I wear. Those measurements for the interested: the shoulder seam comes 6 1/2" down point of shoulder on my upper arms (so adding my body's shoulder width, point of shoulder to point of shoulder, 26" shoulder width total after washing). I can easily fit a 4-finger width (my 4-finger width is 2/12") on both sides of the neck after washing. The t-shirt's length after washing, point of shoulder to almost mid-thigh, 57 1/2". After subsequent washings, it hasn't shrunk more. So, it's comfortably + comfortably large for me. If it softens as much as other cloth-weight t-shirts like this, I'll not be unhappy at all. It's a wonderful product. Just judge by your end-size need honestly. From my experience and that of a few men who experimented with me, I'd recommend if you want to wear this comfortably over regular-fit jeans because you're doing heavy outside work, demanding inside work and want to bend without always having to pull the back of your t down, order one size larger. If you want to tuck this heavier-weight t into trousers (especially tighter jeans) consider ordering two sizes larger. The t-shirt has enough, but not a huge amount of stretch that it likely would work. Or, wear 'em a bit looser than usual, just for comfort, like I do. ;)WorkNice heavy weight cotton, just what I was looking for. This is the only shirt i have purchased from Joe's USA. Cloth is thicker than the usual t-shirts out there. I've had thicker shirts, though. Seems well made so let me do my analysis:Overall fit and construction of t-shirt is good. However it is tight in the chest, yet roomy at the waist. Could have been a bad cut. On par with most shirts on how it is put together. Rating: 3 starsMaterial seems top notch, but I would not call this shirt thick, maybe thicker than normal is better: 3 starsWould I buy another; yesUpdate: i've bought three 4xls vs 3xls since last review. Shirts are quality shirts, with some shrinkage. Joes seems to be like most clothing manufacturers nowadays. Maybe to save material, they downsize their sizes. I have several t-shirts from the 90s and the 2XL of that time seems to be a Joes 4XL..It's a shirt. It feels like a shirt. Expensive.wrong size for me, but is a heavyier weight cotton so it will last longerI bought this for the color selection and because someone posted it was soft? It's itchy as burlap. A wool blanket is soft, this feels rough. Wife says wash it first. This is the roughest feeling cotton in a T-shirt I've ever encountered in 6 decades of wearing T-shirts.Expensive. At $14.99, you can get colored Hanes T shirts made in the USA. Or Goldtoe or anything else.Cant read the label. Looks like it was a rubber stamping embossihg, but unreadable out of the bag new. It's heavyweight, or so it says. More like medium weight. I have a Fender T-shirt that's heavyweight and soft, this is the opposite.Cant tell where it's made, because the stamped inner label is unreadable. Probably China.Taking the name "JOE USA" for this cheaply-made overpriced T-shirt is offensive to anyone named Joe, or from the USA. I'm both.Bought 3. Fool meconce, the other two are going back unopened. There are better T-shirts at Kohls, Walmart, or Target. Amazon seems to be carrying only bottom of the barrel T-shirts.Whoever had the effrontery to label these "heavyweight" would have a brilliant career in politics. I own several 8-oz cotton t-shirts, and their fabric is as thick and heavy as denim. The fabric of these t-shirts is nowhere near 6 ounces. It's actually much lighter than your average t-shirt fabric. It is, in fact, the lightest fabric on a t-shirt I have ever seen. I've bought 5-dollar t-shirts that were made of fabric at least twice as thick as on these.Excelente calidad
