Fit and comfort are excellent especially for walking or running.Greetings. Item as described. It didn't work for me regarding the width. But the return process was very, no hassle, no tension, no headache. Smoothreturn transaction. With that being said, I'll definitely recommend Seller and Product and Amazon. Thanks.Shoe is okay but small, you will return and order a half size up.I'm happy with my purchase in terms of looks and comfort. I'd like just a bit more support and a slightly longer lengthMedium width is narrow. The Ghost model fits my foot more comfortablyI’ve had the Ghost 9’s and the Ghost 11’s, but had seen reviews showing the later models suffered in quality. I loved my 11’s and would have been content to repurchase those forever but they weren’t an option.I’d considered the Glycerins before but didn’t like the look as much, before now, and they cost more. Based on the reviews and look of this pair (and price), I gave the Glycerin 18’s a chance. They are very comfortable when you put them on, SO much cushion. You feel like you’re walking on a cloud. They also look really good.HOWEVER, after I used them for a 2 mile walk, I realized the cushion was way too much. My foot couldn’t grab the pavement as well and the cushion swallowed my foot up so I walked slower. Unfortunately, they do not allow returns for worn products. I wouldn’t have known they weren’t right for me until I took a walk on pavement. The sock liner upper of the shoe is not an ideal design. I’ll be going back to the Ghost model of Brooks. I need the firmer uppers. This is a good shoe but it isn’t as good as last year’s model or even my two year old ASIC Gel Nimbus 20’s with respect to cushioning. In my opinion last year’s Glycerin 17 was a better shoe in every way. The upper on the 18 is a fine weave and thin with little cushioning on top of the toe box. Sometimes when I am walking fast, on gravel, I kick up a rock and then kick it with the top of my other foot. While this is always painful, the thin top and lack of cushioning makes this excruciating with the Glycerin 18. The biggest disappointment is the cushioning level of the Glycerin 18. While it is good and soft, it isn’t as good as the 17 and it is not as good as the cushion level in my two year old ASIC Gel Nimbus 20’s.The 18 is lighter than the 17, but, I don’t care as much about the weight on a level 3 cushioning shoe. For their level 3 cushioning shoe, the level of cushioning should take precedence over every other design consideration. The fit is close if you wear no sock or a super thin sock. I wear a thicker cotton sock so I order 1/2 size larger and one size wider and that fits me pretty well (closer to the fit of a normal shoe or New Balance tennis shoes). After walking well over 100 miles in these shoes they have grown on me. I added a fourth star and I think they definitely meet the definition of a soft cushioned shoe. These a very comfortable shoes. Lace placement allows, the ability to snug them up. Which makes them like socks with soles.I had already purchased a pair of Brooks Glycerin 18s in blue (as you can see), but with autumn on the way, I expected that I'd need a spare pair of running shoes whilst one pair dries out. So I went for another pair, this time in red. If you haven't tried a pair of dedicated road-running shoes then, first of all, go and get a gait analysis done and see what shoes they recommend. These Brooks Glycerin's are for non-pronators (who don't require too much additional stability) and offer good cushioning. Honestly, it's like running in a pair of comfy slippers :) So comfortable. The first noticeable thing about them is the piece of plastic that traverses the heel/achilles area on the outer of the shoe. It feels like it is pinching the heel at first, but then you realise it's just offering support where previously I had none (hence the immediate feel of difference). The cushioning of the midsole (I'm a mid-foot striker) is just fantastic too. Hell, even the laces feel plush! But then I suppose they should at this price-point ;)These are super comfortable runners, but they didn't last as long as I'd expect - probably because of the extra comfort being due to more padding. If you are relatively light I'd imagine that they would do great, but if you are on the heavier side of the scale you might find that they don't last very well as the padding compresses too much too quickly. SO macht man Laufschuhe.Und wenn es mal schnell werden soll/ muss gibts für mich nur Newton. These are comfortable running shoes that I have always worn. Would highly for anyone looking for neutral feet trainers . quick delivery as well . I always choose 1 size up from normal . That applys to all trainers thouughRunning (& walking). Good for 'supinators'. Great colour.
